This project began as a photo series on women as we age.  I thought I would hear stories of frustration and feelings of being marginalized.  Instead, I heard stories of empowerment and it reframed how I see aging.  The Wise Journey ended up being a love letter to my daughter & the women of her generation.  

It shares the stories we carry, the beauty that deepens with time, and the laughter that keeps us young.

As a portrait photographer, I’ve spent years helping women see themselves beyond their insecurities and into their power. When I began photographing and interviewing women between 45 and 85, something shifted. Their honesty, wit, and resilience left me awestruck.

I believe their voices deserved to live beyond my studio walls.

The Wise Journey is that space — a visual and written tribute to the women who remind us that getting older isn’t about fading; it’s about coming fully into focus.
